Meet the Cast

Isaac Pyper
Willy Wonka
Isaac Pyper is 13 years old and joined The Avenue Arts Academy in 2024. He has done every summer show since he started and most recently played the role of Davey in "Newsies Jr". Isaac has performed in many other shows with Lisnagarvey Youth Society and other companies. He is very excited to be playing the part of Willy Wonka in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"!

Clara Divine
Charlie Bucket
Clara is 11 and has been with The Avenue Arts Academy for four years and this is her fourth summer production. Clara has had the privilege of being cast in several lead roles including JoJo in Seussical, Lavender in Matilda and Mabel in Fame. Clara is excited to bring her own personality to the role of Charlie Bucket and hopes you enjoy the performance.

Saoirse Hanna
Grandpa Joe
Saoirse is 14 and is absolutely thrilled to be taking on the role of Grandpa Joe. She has been involved in theatre for 7 years, and is currently working towards her Grade 6 in Musical Theatre and Grade 7 in Ballet. Her previous roles include Matilda (Matilda), Fagin (Oliver!) and Mrs Wormwood (Matilda). She has thoroughly enjoyed rehearsals and cannot wait to share the magic of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory with audiences.

Lily Staple
Mrs Bucket
Lily is 16 years old and has taken part in many shows with the Avenue Arts Academy including Legally Blonde and Fame. Lily is very excited for you to see the show and all of the hard work that went into it.

Jude Garrett
Mike Teavee
Jude is 12 year old and is so excited to playing the part of Mike Teavee in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
Jude has been in theatre for 6 years and has loved every inch of the journey, some of his previous roles include: Baron Bomburst (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Schlomo (Fame!), Specs (Newsies), Bruce(Matilda).
Jude has thoroughly enjoyed rehearsals with all his friends and he is so excited for you all to see the fantastic Charlie And The Chocolate Factory because he can’t wait to share the magical, funny and whimsical feeling of it with you.

Lyla Edgar
Veruca Salt
Lyla is twelve years old and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory marks her fifth production with The Avenue Arts Academy. Lyla has performed in many productions in NI, with her favourite roles being Annie, Matilda and the Genie in Aladdin Jr. Lyla can’t wait to have fun with the role of Veruca Salt in such a fabulous musical where she gets to stamp and shout with no repercussions!!

Sarah McSparron
Violet Beauregarde
Sarah is 11 years old and may have only joined the academy in January, but has loved performing for several years now. Some of her favourite roles so far have been Young Fiona in Shrek at the MAC and Les in Newsies Jr. at Lagan Valley Island.
Sarah is delighted to be part of this amazing production and hopes you enjoy it!

Elsie Marley
Augustus Gloop
Elsie, 13, is delighted to be playing the role of Augustus Gloop in Avenue Arts Academy’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She has been attending the academy for almost a year and has already enjoyed performing in Newsies and a number of Academy showcases.
Earlier this year, Elsie had the wonderful opportunity to play the title role in her school’s production of Oliver!, which was an unforgettable experience.
She loves every aspect of performing, from singing, acting and dancing to the friendships made along the way. Preparing for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has been especially rewarding, thanks to the supportive community at Avenue Arts Academy and the discipline and commitment that come with bringing a show to life.

Sophie Mallard

Sophie is 17 years old, and this is her third Avenue Arts Summer Production. Alongside attending the Avenue Arts Academy, she is studying Level 3 Performing Arts at college. At the Academy, she previously played Bird Girl 2 in Seussical Jr. and Carmen Diaz in Fame Jr. Most recently, she played Amy March in her college production of Little Women. Sophie has loved the rehearsal process for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because it’s such a fun show, and she hopes you enjoy the performance!

Jenson-Jayden Taylor-Bell

Jenson-Jayden is 14 years old and this is his fourth show at The Avenue Arts Academy. Jenson-Jayden has also performed in other shows at Belfast Boy's Model and Mercy. His favourite show he has performed in was Oliver Twist. He's looking forward to perform in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and he hopes you all enjoy the show!

Holly McDonnell

Holly is 15 years old and this will be her 3rd summer production with The Avenue Arts Academy. Holly has been attending the academy for 3 years. Her past roles include, Mrs Wormwood in Matilda, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical The Musical and Serena Katz in Fame. Holly is super excited to be part of this production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and can't wait for you to see it.

Heidi Keil

Heidi is 12 years old and is so excited to be in another show with Avenue Arts Academy!
She absolutely loves being part of Avenue. She has made some of her best friends there, and it has helped her become so much more confident. She always has so much fun at rehearsals, and it's one of her favourite places to be.
This year, Heidi is playing Mrs Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and she can't wait for everyone to see it! Mrs Gloop is such a funny character to play, and Heidi has loved learning all about her.
She really hopes you enjoy the show. The cast has worked so hard, and Heidi can't wait to perform for you all!

Zoe Steede
Grandma Josephine
Zoe is 11 years old and this is her first show with The Avenue Arts Academy although she has already been on the academy stage twice before during autism stars. She loves to preform and write comedy, so it makes sense that her favourite roles have been a rapping dormouse in pantomime. She has really enjoyed Charlie as it has that quirky, silly core she loves.

Bailey Darragh
Grandma Georgina
Bailey is 13 years old and has been a member of The Arts Avenue Academy for the past two years. She is thrilled to be making her summer show debut in the role of Grandma Georgina. Bailey has loved being part of the production and has had so much fun throughout the rehearsal process. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Lily Magee
Grandpa George
Lily is 13 years old. This is her 2nd Summer Show with The Avenue Arts Academy and she is really excited for you to see the show.

Thomas McRitchie
Jerry
Thomas is 13 years old and attends the junior academy. This is his second show with Avenue Arts, playing Wiesel in Newsies earlier this year. He has been performing for several years and has previously appeared in The Addams Family and Anything goes. In his spare time he enjoys playing saxophone He's really excited about his role as Gerry in Charlie and hopes you have as much fun as he has had.

Rosalyn Donaghy

Rosalyn is 12 years old. She has attended The Avenue Arts Academy for one and a half years and this is her 7th show. Rosalyn says that joining the Avenue was one of the best decisions she ever made thanks to the fun she's had and the friends she's made. Her favourite role was Spot Conlon in Newsies.

Isabella McFarlane

Isabella is 10 years old and has been at the Avenue Arts for 2 1/2 years. Isabella has performed in 6 shows with Avenue Arts including Newsies, Matilda and Aladdin. Her favourite performance was singing Hard Knock Life from Annie in an end of year showcase. She hopes that you enjoy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Casey Murphy
Dance Captain & Ensemble
Casey Murphy is 14 years old and this is their third show with Avenue Arts. Casey recently played Lady Macbeth in their school's Shakespeare Festival, where they won the award for Best Actor. They have also been a hip hop dancer for the past nine years, competing across the UK and Ireland, and proudly represented Ireland at the World Hip Hop Championships in Blackpool. Casey is thrilled to be part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and can't wait for everyone to see what promises to be an amazing show.

Mollie Lucas

Mollie is 15 years old and has attended the Avenue Arts Academy for three years. Mollies favourite show she has done would be the opera Tosca in the grand opera house. Charlie is an amazing show and she can’t wait for you all to watch it!

Aimee McSparran
Ensemble
Aimee is 13 yrs old and this is her 2nd summer project with AAA. Aimee has performed in a number of term time shows and showcases but her favourite role so far has been Gracie "Lambchops" in last year's Summer production of Fame. Aimee is really looking forward to opening night and the audiences reaction to the finished show!

Aodhán Divine

Aodhán is 7 and this is his first summer production with the Avenue Arts Academy. Aodhán loves the dancing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and being part of the cast has helped him develop his confidence on stage.

Emily Earley
Ensemble
Nine-year-old Emily absolutely loves drama and performing on stage. Having already brought her energy and enthusiasm to two previous shows, she is thrilled to be taking part in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ as a member of the ensemble. Emily is incredibly excited for this production and hopes everyone enjoys the magic of the show!

Jessie Jayson

Jessie has been part of The Avenue Arts Academy for 2.5 years and absolutely loves being part of the team. She has a huge passion for dance and musical theatre, and performing on stage is something she truly enjoys.
Jessie’s favourite musicals are Les Misérables and Wicked.
Jessie hopes you have a fantastic time watching the performance!

Max Gordon
Ensemble
Max is 10 years old. He has been going to the Avenue Arts Training Academy since January. He enjoyed performing a duet with his sister in the end of year Showcase. In May he sang a solo at his school's Talent Show. Max has loved learning all the fun songs and dances in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His favourite song is 'You Got Whatcha Want'.

Clara Gordon
Ensemble
Clara is 13 years old. She has been going to the Avenue Arts Performance and Training Academy since January. She performed a duet with her brother at the end of year Showcase in June. She has a passion for singing and recently did her Grade 5 Musical Theatre for Singers exam. Clara is a member of the Drama Club at school and has been in two school productions. She loves being on stage and learning new choreography

Anna Glackin
Ensemble
This is Anna's second show with the Avenue, and she has been loving it! She really enjoys musical theatre and has performed in many other productions, with her favourites being Fame and The Sound of Music. She is so excited for everyone to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and hopes audiences enjoy it as much as the cast does!

Eabha Glackin

Eabha is thrilled to be taking part in her second show with the Avenue Arts Academy and has been having so much fun! She loves singing and dancing and has performed in many other productions, with her favourites including Fame, Beauty and the Beast, and The Sound of Music. She hopes everyone enjoys this fantastic production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as much as the cast has enjoyed bringing it to life.

Martha Moore

Martha is 12 years old and doing her fifth musical with the Avenue. She has recently sung in Stormont with her school. One of Martha’s favourite roles she played was the Narrator in Joseph and the amazing Technicoloured Dream Coat. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an amazing show and has a little bit of everything!

Maeve Loughridge

Maeve is 11 years old, and this is her first show with The Avenue Arts Academy. Maeve is a member of Ballynafeigh School of Irish Dancing, Mageean Academy of Speech & Drama, and plays the tin whistle with Ards CCE. Maeve has loved being part of the show, and she hopes you love it just as much!

Fiádh Bolster

Fiádh is 8 years old and this is her third performance with The Avenue Arts Academy. She recently played Miss Hannigan in our junior prep class performance of Annie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Her favourite musical is Matilda which she would love to perform in some day. She is looking forward to performing in the ensemble for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Emma-Louise Shannon

Emma-louise is 13 years old and this is her first show with Avenue Arts but her fourth show in general. She was a narrator in Joseph and his Technical Dreamcoat in P7 and played Gretl in The Sound of Music. Emma-louise hopes you enjoy the show.

Autumn Magee
Ensemble
Autumn is eight years old and has been part of Avenue Arts Academy since she was four. She has loved performing in many shows, including Seussical, Newsies, and The Jungle Book, where she discovered how much she enjoys learning new dance moves and making new friends. Autumn is especially excited for the upcoming production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, one of her favourite films, and can’t wait to step back on stage and bring the magic to life.
Autumn proudly continues a family tradition inspired by her great‑grandfather Leo and Nana Roisin, both devoted drama teachers.

Sophie Sedgwick
Ensemble
Sophie is 7 years old and The Avenue Arts Academy has been her musical theatre home since she was 3. She has performed in Matilda, Seussical, The Jungle Book and Annie Kids with The Avenue, with her favourite role being the title role of Annie! It was a dream come true!
Sophie has also performed in shows across NI, including Young Anna in Frozen and Froglet Soloist in Honk, and has just returned from performing onboard a cruise. Earlier this year, she was delighted to have been chosen by Disney as their Mini Anna of Arendelle to promote the new World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris, and will play Billy the Stylist in School of Rock later this summer. Sophie absolutely loves being part of The Avenue Arts Academy and has had so much fun rehearsing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…she’s pretty sure she could happily live on chocolate if given the chance

Anna Boyle

Anna is 9 years old and this is her 5th production with AAA. She is soooo happy to be in this show as acting, singing, dancing and Chocolate are all of her favourite things. This show is going to be awesome!

Iona Mikhael

Iona is 12 years old and has been doing drama since she was 5 and absolutely loves it, but even more since joining The Avenue Arts Academy in January of this year. Her favourite show to date is The Newsies! Iona is super excited for you to watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and knows you will think it’s really ‘SWEET’!

Olivia Curran

Olivia is 17 years old and she has been involved in the Avenue Arts Academy since January 2026.
Olivia loves her Saturday mornings at the Academy and has taken part in two shows, Sister Act the musical and the end of year show Avenue to Broadway. She really enjoys the buzz of taking part in the performances and is really looking forward to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Jenna Gibson
Ensemble
Jenna Gibson is 12 years old and has been attending the AAA for over a year. She loves all things drama and musical theatre. She has previously been a cast member in Aladdin Juniors and Newsie’s Juniors.
Jenna says, “I have had a really enjoyable experience, and I love rehearsals with my friends.”

Lucy Mooney

Lucy is 8 years old and this is her second show with the Avenue Arts Academy. Lucy is a proud student of the Academy. Lucy has performed in many venues in NI including The Mac Theatre, Sse Arena and strandmillis Theatre, with one of her favourite roles being Gary the snail from SpongeBob Musical. Charlie is an exciting, fun show and she hopes you enjoy it!

Ethan Magee
Ensemble
Ethan is 10 years old and is excited to be making his debut with The Avenue Arts Academy. He has had an amazing time and has loved every day of rehearsals. Some of his favourite roles to date include Alfie in The Nativity, the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, and being part of the ensemble in Matilda. Ethan has really enjoyed his time at The Avenue Arts Academy and hopes you enjoy the show!

Jemima Magee

Jemima is 10 years old and is delighted to be making her debut with The Avenue Arts Academy. She loves performing on stage and recently played the lead role of Chip in Beauty and the Beast with JSI at The MAC, Belfast. Previous roles also include Cleo in The Nativity and Glinda in Wicked. Jemima has a real passion for the performing arts and has loved every minute of working with the incredibly talented cast and team at The Avenue Arts Academy. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Rosa Saron Irwin

Rosa is 9 years old, this is her first Summer Show with The Avenue Arts Academy. She loves attending Performance Academy during term time and wants to be a dancer like Sarah when she grows up. She would like to become a professional dancer and star on Strictly Come Dancing. Being part of the ensemble in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is the best fun!

Zoe Mooney

Zoe is 13 years old and this is her second show with Avenue Arts Academy. Zoe is a proud student of this academy. Zoe has performed in many venues in NI including The Mac Theatre, SSE Arena and Stranmillis Theatre, with one of her favourite roles being Miss Trumbull in Matilda. Charlie is a fun, exciting show and she knows you will enjoy it!!

Matilda van Niekirk

This is Katie’s first show with The Avenue Arts Academy.
Her past credits include; Louisa (sound of music), Maria (Anastasia), Evita, The Addams Family and more with Fusion Theatre.
She’s a student at Wallace High School Lisburn and is hoping to go on to study Early Years Education in University.

Jacob Rutherford

Jacob is 7 years old, and this is his first show with The Avenue Arts Academy. He is excited to be making his stage debut in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has loved learning the songs and dances, as well as making lots of new friends. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Cara McLoughlin

Cara is 12 years old and has been attending The Avenue Arts Academy for one year. She has loved developing her confidence and performance skills and enjoys every opportunity to sing, dance and act. She is excited to be part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and hopes you enjoy the show.
